I'm about to give up ever getting this device rooted. Get Magisk, then rename it from "magisk.apk" to "magisk.zip". After you do that just flash from twrp. That's what I'm doing. I'm installing magisk.zip with TWRP and the installation completes smoothly. But when I reboot the system it's like I never did anything.
