Posted February 25, 2017. Hi, my elderly mum is thinking about buying a nearly new Auris 2016MY. She travels around 5000 miles per year, mostly short urban trips and prefers auto transmission. Therefore, the Hybrid seems like a good choice compared to the 1.2 Auto (even if the payback for the hybrid premium on fuel economy is questionable).
