The OP asked PS5 owners if they prefer Performance or Quality mode, while saying that they themselves side with Performance Mode. "I always notice 60fps way more than I notice ray tracing," they said. But it seems most commentors agree with their assessment. "60fps anytime," said one, with many upvotes. "Performance," said another, also with
Luckily, PS5 owners do not need to select one over the other since Modern Warfare 2's campaign can maintain a dynamic 4K resolution and 60 FPS. For players who do not have a 4K monitor or Persona 5 will play better on PS5 as it is capable of a much higher resolution and faster load times. PS5 can be used in 3840x2160 (4k) whereas a Switch Lite has a resolution of 1280x720 (720p). I wouldn't doubt the graphics probably look better on PS5 as well, although this is just conjecture on my part. 1. XequR.
The ps4 pro can run games in 4k 60fps. There are despite what reddit claims games that are native 4k and 60fps. The ps5 is roughly 4x the cpu 4x the gpu 2x the ram amount and 50x faster storage. So, it's hard to imagine that they can't get the games that run 4k 60 to run 4k 120. That said developers are finally starting to ignore the resolution
Quality mode jumps between 45-30 fps which to me, can be unplayable. I wish they would have locked 30 fps in this mode. Don’t play in this mode against a tough boss. In frame rate mode, it runs just under 60 fps with stuttering not uncommon when there are a lot of particle effects on screen.
Rockstar Games has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will be re-released on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch with 4K and 60 FPS support. Despite criticism over the cost of the re-release, the update also includes a major revamp of textures and models, DualSense support, and HDR gaming. With additional content through the Undead Nightmare DLC
1. Take Advantage of Your TV’s 4K Capability. Many new PS5 games and some remastered PS4 games are capable of displaying at a stunning 4K resolution. In a lot of instances, however, you have to sacrifice 4K resolution in Resolution Mode for a speedier frame rate in Performance Mode. One of the first video games released on the PlayStation 5
On the one hand, this may come as a disappointment to prospective PS5 players, since the 4K/60 fps standard represents a big improvement over the 4K/30 fps or 1080p/60 fps options on the PS4 Pro.
It definitely wont be 4k at 60fps. I think console players don't actually know what is needed to acheive that. A $1000+ RTX 2080 TI is what's needed for something like that. Unless the PS5 is going to be insanely expensive, I wouldnt count on 4k 60fps (especially since the next gen will have ray tracing). zuSX.
